Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 17 August 2026

Welcome to Right On Sod Inc (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website (https://rightonsod.ca/) or hiring us for landscaping, sod installation, or related property maintenance services, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

  1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting an estimate, approving a quote, or allowing our team to commence work on your property, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
  2. Estimates and Quotes
All estimates provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

Estimates are based on the visual inspection of the property and the information provided by the Client.

If unforeseen conditions arise once work begins (e.g., discovering buried concrete, severe soil contamination, or extreme grading issues), we reserve the right to halt work and provide a revised quote for the additional labor and materials required.

  1. Payment Terms
Deposits: A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your project date and order materials (such as fresh sod).

Final Payment: The remaining balance is due immediately upon the completion of the project.

Late Fees: Invoices not paid within 7 days of completion may be subject to a late fee of 2% per month.

  1. Client Responsibilities & Property Access
Access: The Client must ensure our crew has clear, unobstructed access to the work area on the scheduled dates.

Underground Utilities: The Client is responsible for marking any private underground lines (e.g., irrigation systems, invisible dog fences, private electrical lines) prior to excavation. Right On Sod Inc is not liable for damage to unmarked private utility lines.

Permits: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Client is responsible for obtaining any necessary municipal permits or Homeowner Association (HOA) approvals.

  1. Living Material & Sod Warranty
We take pride in installing premium, locally grown sod. However, sod is a living, perishable product.

Watering and Maintenance: Upon installation, the continuous health of the lawn becomes the sole responsibility of the Client. We provide specific watering and care instructions. We do not offer a warranty or guarantee on sod that dies or fails to root due to improper watering, neglect, extreme weather, or pest/pet damage after installation.

If you notice issues with the sod upon installation, you must notify us within 24 hours so we can address it immediately.

  1. Weather Delays and Rescheduling
Landscaping is highly dependent on weather conditions. We reserve the right to reschedule start dates or halt work due to heavy rain, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions. We will communicate any weather-related delays as promptly as possible.
  2. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Right On Sod Inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the performance of our services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the specific project in question.
  3. Intellectual Property and Photography
All material on this website — including the text, layout, logo, and all photographs of completed work — is owned by Right On Sod Inc and protected under Canadian copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, or use any of it for commercial purposes without our prior written permission. To request permission to use a photograph or any other content, contact us using the details below.

We photograph our own completed projects and use those images in our portfolio, on this website, and in advertising. These photographs show landscaping and lawn work only; we do not publish street addresses, house numbers, or any information identifying the occupants. If work has been carried out at your property and you would prefer the photographs were not used, tell us and we will remove them.
  4. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
